My Instagram and Facebook feed are doing only 1 thing these days.
Shows me a video or a picture of some random dude, he’s probably taken a selfie or done some photoshop, background of a beach or something. (the classic examples of online scams these days.)
And he is selling a course at 99rs, or 299rs, or 499rs.
“Become a millionaire in 30 days”
“Get 10000 instagram followers”
“Up your social media game!!!”
Wait, he is also offering a mega discount!
Ohh wait! And it’s a limited time offer.
And wait, this random dude claims he is the “best internet marketing guru”
I mean! Give me a break!
I wish they make me like a Head of Scam Detection or something, because you instantly know for a fact that these online courses are nothing but a scam.
Internet scams are so common these days, thanks to so many ads thrown at us every single day.
Newspapers
Radio
TV
Apps
You name it, ads are everywhere!
In fact, it becomes tricky to actually distinguish between who looks an internet fraud v/s someone who is genuinely legit and helpful.
Online Scams — The Most Unethical Way to Make Money Online
I just cannot believe there are so many who claim false promises of making money online.
Tricking people into buying something is the best way to dissuade them, lose their trust, and destroy your business in the long term.
Earning someone’s trust is EXTREMELY difficult, and that’s why majority of these online marketing gurus fail.
Because they only want money, not results from their readers.
My advise:
- Be extremely cautious in buying these courses
- Check if they even have a website first
- If someone claims he will help you in social media, check how many legit followers he personally has
- If someone says he will help you with freelancing to make an extra income, validate if he has ever done that himself and found success
- Check if they produce any content regular basis
- Review if their content is ACTUALLY GOOD and VALUABLE (super-important)
It’s a noisy world out there, and we scroll through everything everyday.
So, just make sure you put your money at the right place, to the right person, in the right way.
